Varanasi is among the worst affected district in Uttar Pradesh by the Covid-19 second wave. Families of Covid-19 patients in Varanasi have alleged total mismanagement at hospitals.
Varanasi recorded 1,116 Covid-19 cases and 18 deaths in the last 24 hours. With the state reeling with increasing Covid cases, the Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday extended the partial curfew, imposed in the state, till Monday morning (7 am). The restrictions were set to be lifted tomorrow morning.
